Archived conversations

Archiving conversations serves for long-term storage of data that is no longer or only infrequently accessed. Data can then be saved in a more economic storage location. The archiving and restore process is managed by Microsoft. Restore can take up to 15 hours before the conversation can be replayed.

The function Archived recordings allows you to access archived recordings. The time when archiving begins (after a minimum of 90 days) depends on the tenant configuration. Archiving is an automatic process. 

Example Reasons for archiving:

Recordings in the conversation safe are not archived.

Archiving is only possible in the configured Azure Storage Containers.

Archiving on a different external cloud is not possible.

Retrieving archived conversations is subject to charges.

The archiving and retrieval process is managed by Microsoft.

The conversation from the archive storage are restored in the conversation safe of the user. The user rules for the conversation safe apply for the restored conversations.

Removing a conversation from the conversation safe may cause the conversation to be deleted irrevocably if the original retention time (TTL) has passed and if the conversation has not been saved in at least another directory of the conversation safe.

Description

No access to archived files

  1. Select the option No access to archived files if users are not supposed to be able to retrieve archived recordings.

Allow to retrieve (Approval)

  1. Select the option Allow to retrieve (Approval) to allow users (supervisor, compliance officer) to retrieve archived conversations from the archive. Users may request replay.

Request retrieval process (request for replay)

  1. Select the option Request retrieval process (Request for replay) to request the retrieval of conversations.

Request replay from

  1. Click in the field Request Replay from. Select the user(s) to allow replay after a replay request.

Reasoning text required

  1. Activate the check box Reasoning text required if users are supposed to give a reason for requesting retrieval.
