Keep/Delete

Define whether it is supposed to be possible to decide during the recording or during a defined wrap-up time to keep or delete the recording.

Example: The function Keep/Delete can be used in scenarios such as threat calls. An information window in the live view of the conversation indicates the remaining post-editing time after the call has been released.

Description

Start Mode

This setting defines the default mode once the conversation has started.

Start Mode - Keep

Keep − The conversation is always recorded.
Users can change the start mode to Delete during the conversation or during the post-editing time.

Start Mode - Delete

Delete − The conversation is always deleted.
Users can change the start mode to Keep during the conversation or during the post-editing time.

Wrap-up timer (secs)

Activation and definition of the wrap-up time.
Possible values are 1 - 900 seconds.

The wrap-up time indicates how long users can change modes once the conversation has been released.
An information window indicates the remaining time.

Specific settings

The setting Specific settings allows administrators to define a certain recording mode.

  1. Activate the check box Specific settings to define the recording mode.

NOTICE! Note that Keep/Delete is only available once the recording has been started.
If Specific settings has not been activated, the recording mode Bulk is used.
In the recording mode RoD (Record On Demand) or Recording Control for Bulk Recording users can control the recording with start/stop.

Example: Recording mode Bulk, without start/stop function and default mode: Keep.

  • Starting live view of the conversation
    • The conversation is started.
    • Recording of the conversation is started.
      The recording of the conversation cannot be stopped.
    • Keep/Delete can be changed during the conversation or during the post-editing time after the conversation.

Example: Recording mode RoD, with start/stop function and default mode: Delete.

  • Starting live view of the conversation
    • The conversation is started.
    • The recording of the conversation has not been started yet.
      The recording of the conversation can be started and stopped several times.
    • Keep/Delete can be changed during the conversation or during the post-editing time after the conversation.

NOTICE! If the recording mode RoD is used, Keep/Delete applies for the entire conversation.
