Edit policy rule

If the policy rule is part of an active policy, the policy rule cannot be edited.

  1. Select a policy rule to be edited.
  2. Click on the button Edit rule.
  3. The following window is displayed (example):

  1. In the field Name, change the current name of the policy rule for a name which does not exist in the system yet.
  2. Entering a description is optional.
    In the field Description, you can enter additional information and details about the field of application.
  3. Adjust the respective settings.

Description

Version
The version indicates the number of changes made for the created policy rule.

NOTICE! Upon saving the first changes made to the policy rule, the version count is started.

By selecting an earlier version, an older policy rule can be activated.

  1. Select an older version.
  2. Click on the button Restore version to save the version.
    Click on the button Cancel to discard the entries.
    • The policy rule is closed.

Description

Personal

Define who is supposed to see this policy rule.

  1. Activate the check box Personal to display the policy rule for you only.
  2. Deactivate the check box to display the policy rule for all users with a compliance license.

Criteria
In the policy rules, logically combine the criteria from keywords, categories, patterns, and adherence phrases with AND or OR.

You can add custom keywords to the criterion Keywords in the policy rule.
For the criteria categories, patterns, and adherence phrases, only already existing categories, patterns, and adherence phrases can be selected.

Add criteria

  1. Click in the field Criteria to add a criterion.
    The following criteria are available:
  2. Confirm the criterion by clicking on the button Add.
  3. If you would like to add further criteria, repeat steps 1 and 2.

Logical combination of several criteria within one policy rule

  1. Click on the button AND or OR to logically combine several criteria.
    • Select AND if the selected criteria are supposed to be met at the same time.
    • Select OR if at least one criterion is supposed to be met.

Delete criteria

  1. Click on the icon to delete a criterion.
  1. Click on the button Save to save the entries.
    NOTICE! When entering an already existing name, an error message is issued.
  2. Error message - Name already exists
  3. Click on the button Cancel to discard the entries.
