Edit pattern with fragments

If the pattern is part of an active policy, the pattern cannot be edited.

All fragments can be edited.

  1. In the field Name, change the current name of the pattern for a name which does not exist in the system yet.
  2. Entering a description is optional.
    In the field Description, you can enter additional information and details about the field of application.

Description

Version
The version indicates the number of changes made for the created policy rule.

NOTICE! Upon saving the first changes made to the pattern, the version count is started.

By selecting an earlier version, an older pattern can be activated.

  1. Select an older version.
  2. Click on the button Restore version to save the version.
    Click on the button Cancel to discard the entries.
    • The pattern is closed.

Add pattern fragments
Enter the fragments for your string of characters.

  

Move a fragment up or down.

Delete a fragment.

Select type

Click in the field Select type and select an option from the drop-down list.

  • Letters
  • Numbers
  • Special characters
  • Alphanumeric (letters, numbers)

Input Field

Enter the number of characters for letters, numbers, special characters or alphanumerical characters in the field.

  • A number (example: 2)
  • A range (example: up to 15 characters)

Entry field or exact

In the entry field or exact, enter the respective string of characters (example: @, asc, etc.)

Add another fragment.

  1. Click on the button Save to save the entries.
    NOTICE! When entering an already existing name, an error message is issued.
  2. Error message - Name already exists. Enter a different name.
  3. NOTICE! Upon saving, the changes are applied.
  4. Click on the button Cancel to discard the entries.
