Action based on categorization
This option allows changing the retention time according to the specifications of the categorization.
The option Define TTL change via categorization must be activated in Configure the rules for user access - User rights, see Various User Rights.
In the analytics rule, one or several categories with the activated option Set Retention Time must be used.
- Click in the field Action based on Categorization.
- Select the respective action in the drop-down list.

▫ Click in the field Day(s) and define the new retention time in day(s).

Retention time is not changed.
Set Retention Time
The retention time is changed according to the defined days.
Example Change retention time with a categorization
- Create a category (exemplary category) and select Action based on categorization
- Activate Set Retention Time to change the retention time to 5 days
- Default retention time is 730 days
- Configure analytics rule and use the created exemplary category.
- Configure exemplary category in Configure Video Indexer or in Configure transcription.
- Assign analytics rule to user settings.
One or several keywords from the exemplary category is mentioned during a conversation between customer and user.
Following the analysis of the conversation with the exemplary category, the retention time is changed according to the defined days.
▫ The retention time is reduced from 730 days to 5 days.
