Copilot Agent
ASC Copilot Agent is a purpose-built AI assistant integrated into Microsoft Copilot, designed to enhance user interaction with Recording Insights. ASC Copilot Agent is a certified Microsoft Copilot integration that simplifies compliance‑relevant recording workflows across Microsoft 365. By embedding these capabilities directly into Copilot, users can access and manage recordings without switching applications - improving efficiency and reducing friction.
Through natural language prompts in chat, users can perform key tasks such as starting/stopping recordings, retrieving transcripts, and analyzing communication data—without navigating the Recording Insights interface. This agent streamlines workflows and improves accessibility to information through prompt-based interaction.
The Agent is available to all Recording Insights users. The use requires an active Copilot license (minimum: 365 Copilot Chat license). Furthermore, the ASC Copilot Agent fully complies with Recording Insights role‑based access control. Users can only request or view recordings according to their assigned visibility settings defined by the Replay Rule.

The ASC Copilot Agent serves as an interface for accessing Recording Insights content from an external system. Copilot is now part of various Microsoft 365 apps. These include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Power BI and the communication apps Teams and Outlook, which are explained in more detail on the following pages. This section describes the access via Teams app and Outlook:
